Are you currently depressed? Wish there were better treatment for depression?
with your help, there might be.
If you are depressed and between age 18 and 65, you may be eligible for a research study involving brain imaging AND medication treatment at NO COST to you at Columbia University/The New York State Psychiatric Institute. This study uses two types of brain imaging, positron emmision tomography (PET) and MRI, to better understand depression and to try to predict which treatments will be the most effective. As a part of study participation patients receive NO COST outpatient or inpatient treatment for major depressive disorder for up to five months.
Your participation can help speed the recovery of others who suffer from depression in the future. You will be paid up to $365 for your time and effort if you are eligible and choose to participate.
