Biography:
Greetings! I am developing a new version of Mindboggle to automate anatomical labeling of human brain image data, and initiating collaborative informatics projects. My academic interests include brain image processing and the 3-D display of complex information. I've conducted research in 3-D display holography from a high school basement lab to MIT's Media Lab, tissue optics at Caltech, and automated brain labeling at Cornell.
Before coming to Columbia to continue with the brain labeling research, I did information visualization work at the Parsons Institute for Information Mapping as well as comprehensive photodocumentation of and web application development for the Ellora cave temples of India, sponsored by the Mellon Foundation. Side projects under active development include: infovis.info, qovert.info, elloracaves.org, and elloraklein.com.
